Laser Drive Quality Guarantee
All Laser Drive products are covered by a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Power Supplies covered by the warranty will be serviced at no charge. The warranty will not apply to the product if it has been damaged by misuse, alteration, accident, improper handling or operation, or if unauthorized repairs or modifications are attempted or made.
Warranty Period
The warranty begins the date of shipment and can be tracked by the serial number.
The serial number is date coded and represents the date of shipment. The first digit in the serial number represents the year of shipment. The second digit represents the month of shipment. (January through September is represented by number 1 through 9 and double-digit months represented by letters J, K, and L). The remaining 4 digits create a unique number. (YMXXXX).
Effective March, 2002, the serial number date code policy has changed. The serial number no longer represents the date of shipment. The first two digits in the serial number represent the year of manufacture. The second two digits represent the month of manufacture. The remaining 4 (or 5) digits create a unique number. (YYMMXXXX). The warranty period still begins the date of shipment. Most of the time the date of manufacture and date of shipment are the same.
Service
Laser Drive services or replaces all power supplies we manufacture with or without a warranty. Some cost is associated with non-warranty service. For more information on service, please contact Laser Drive.
